It has been quite a whirlwind for me the last bunch of days attending the IDEA World Fitness Convention, which included 12,000 people from over 60 countries! Within IDEA World was Blogfest, a 2-day event specifically for healthy living bloggers. It was hosted by Fit Approach, a company that I'm at ambassador for, along with a lot of great people. My First Yoga Sculpt Experience
Hi friends! A couple of weeks ago I talked about heated workouts, and I shared with you all that I'm not the biggest fan of them due to me being a baby about super warm rooms. Well, after publishing that post, I wound up using the last of my 5-class pass at that gym to try out one more heated workout: yoga sculpt! (source) I really only wound up doing the class because I really wanted to try yoga sculpt, and the gym only offers the class in heated rooms... so I found myself back in a sauna-like room working out once more! I discovered 2 things from taking the class: 1.) Yoga sculpt is fabulous, and 2.) I don't mind heated rooms if they're under a certain temperature. Bondi Band Headband Giveaway!
I have a love/hate relationship with headbands. I like them because they keep my hair out of my face while I'm working out, but I can never find headbands that don't give me a headache with their tight bands or completely fall off my head mid-exercise. So when I got the opportunity to review headbands from Bondi Band that looked comfy and cute, I gladly accepted the chance. Hi friends! Before I moved last weekend, I had the opportunity to try a new type of workout trend that has hit the Bay Area: indoor high altitude training. Jillian Michaels’ Yoga Inferno DVD Review
Hi everyone! I thought today I'd share with you my love of doing yoga and thoughts on a new workout DVD from Jillian Michaels called Yoga Inferno. If you've never done yoga, I highly suggest that you try it. It's beneficial for every single person out there -- whether you're a seasoned athlete trying to improve flexibility, a person with back issues, or an exercise newbie who wants to expand your horizons. The great part about yoga is that you do things at your own level and pace. If you're interested in trying yoga but don't want to go to a class, I suggest following a few YouTube videos or DVDs to get a feel for what style works best for you. Work it Out Wednesday: The 20-Minute Warm Me Up Winter Workout
There are a lot of w's in my post title huh? Apparently I'm in the mood for a good alliteration this evening! Today I had a little "me" time and got a massage and a manicure. Thanks to Groupon, my hour-long deep tissue massage was only $25...how can you not love that right?! Since I knew I wouldn't feel like working out or have time to after my couple hours of pampering, I planned on doing a workout first thing in the morning so I could still fit exercise time in for the day.
