Some days I walk into the gym knowing exactly what workout I want to do. Other days, I find myself indecisive about what exercises to do or body parts to work on. Sometimes I can quickly focus, while other times I feel like I have a scatterbrained workout. Feeling the latter about to happen, I jotted down a workout to do before I walked to the gym today. Instead of doing a typical workout where I strength train one or two body parts, I decided to do a circuit routine and touch on a bit of everything - legs, biceps, triceps, shoulders, abs and back. WOD: A Triceps & Chest Circuit Routine
Happy June and Friday! According to my calendar, today is Go Barefoot Day. Apparently it's also National Doughnut Day. I'm celebrating the former by walking around barefoot, though I pretty much always do that... I'm excited that it's June 1st for a couple of reasons: The start of June signifies the real downhill slope of my marine's deployment, as he supposedly will be coming home in July (the key word here being supposedly...Anyone involved in the military knows that if there's one thing for certain, it's that plans are constantly changing, but we'll pretend that it's totally happening according to schedule unless we're told otherwise ;-) ). A 30-Minute Treadmill Workout for Those Who Hate to Run
My Deal with Running I've been athletic and exercised on a constant basis my entire life. But for some reason, I'm just not a runner. I've never enjoyed it. And that's coming from me, who actually loves to workout. Even as a kid playing soccer, I remember feeling like I was going to die after we ran sprints. Not much has changed since then.
