Blueberry Almond Granola
Recipe creation is a funny thing sometimes. At times, I come up with an idea for a recipe moments before and I just throw ingredients together. Other times, I have a recipe in my head for weeks and weeks that I just have a feeling will be a winner that I will want to share on here, but it takes me awhile to actually make and photograph it. The latter was the case with this granola. When I randomly threw a bag of dried blueberries into my shopping cart one day, the idea of making granola with them immediately popped into my head... but then I wound up eating all the blueberries before I could get to making any granola. Oops. So then I had to wait until the next time I found myself in a food store with dried blues to make this recipe. But, the next time I went to make this ... [Read More]
Homemade Snacks to Bring Camping
If you know me at all, you know that my packing for a trip always involves food. Even if I’m going to a gorgeous hotel in Italy where I’ll be eating my weight in pasta, I still bring some snacks for the travel there. This is because A.) I get hungry a lot, B.) I'm not happy when I’m hangry, C.) You never know when you’ll be stuck somewhere with zero even remotely healthy food choices, and D.) I like to snack and have a paranoia about starving to death. Sounds a bit dramatic, but I think this relates back to my mom and grandma always pushing offering food to everyone, making way too much food for meals and always having snacks on-hand. So you can imagine my thought process when packing for our camping trip to Catalina Island. I was all: “What are we going to eat the whole ... [Read More]
Awesome Ways to Eat Apples this Autumn
Happy, happy Friday! So in case I haven't told you before, I'm obsessed with fruit. Every type of berry, banana, melon, kiwi, peaches... and the list of fruit that I can't get enough of goes on and on! Fruit is sweet, it's a natural whole food, and it can easily be incorporated into a diet in endless ways. Topping the list of my favorite fruits is the illustrious apple. In my household apples disappear quickly. I buy probably a dozen of them every time I make a food store trip, which you think would last for at least a bit with only two people in my house, but they don't. In fact, I'd love to be eating an apple at this very moment, but we unfortunately ran out yesterday. Each of us eats at least an apple a day. But hey, I'm not complaining, because you know what they say... An ... [Read More]

KIND products are made with ingredients I can pronounce and am familiar with. KINDSnacks was named so with purpose, as the company's focus is on making the world a kinder place, one act at a time. Their message of holistic kindness makes me like them even more. So when KIND reached out and asked if I'd like to try some bar and cluster flavors I hadn't gotten my hands on yet, I was more than happy to oblige. I was already hooked on their peanut ...
