30 Ways to be a Healthier, Happier, More Centered Human Being in 2015
Hi there! In the start of a new year there's always this word floating around: resolutions. For many people, January is a symbolic fresh start and the ideal time to make positive changes in their lives. While I think that January is as good a time as any to form better habits, and I definitely am excited in beginning this new year, I'm not a huge resolution person per se. Do I love goal setting in general? Absolutely. I guess I just find it sad that the majority of people give up on their New Year's resolutions by the end of the month. I think it's because a lot of people try to drastically change their lifestyle in one foul swoop, which isn't always realistic. So, I started thinking about all of this and ideas started popping into my head of things I'd like to do more in 2015 ... [Read More]

The Peaks of My 2014
Happy New Year’s Eve everyone! What are your NYE plans? My hubby and I are heading up to Anaheim today to meet up with my family, who are in town for a week. My dad is a high school football coach, and is coaching an all-star game with some of the best players in the nation here, so he’s in California with my mom, sister, older brother (who also coaches football), sister-in-law and nephews. It’s kind of funny that I was just in Jersey where they all live, and then a few days later they all flew out to my neck of the woods on the west coast, but I’m looking forward to getting to see them some more and spend New Year’s together! As 2014 comes to a close, I thought it’d be neat to look back at the highs of my year. Here are my 2014 highlights! Buying a home & moving back down to ... [Read More]
ClassPass: A Great Fit for the Hyperactive Exerciser (Like Myself)
When people ask me what workouts I typically do, I usually rattle off a list of things: hiking, kickboxing, cycling, strength training, yoga, rowing, barre, and so on. I usually follow it up by saying something along the lines of, “I do a lot of different regimens, but I'm not really an expert at any of them." It’s true, I’ve never been into just doing one type of workout. I know that lots of people are strictly runners, or are amazing yogis and that’s their signature regimen, or wherever their fitness passion may lie, but for me, I’ve always wanted to do a bit of everything. I call it exercise ADD, and I figure that as long as I’m moving, it’s good for my body and soul to keep switching it up. Over the past month, I’ve been trying out ClassPass. You can check out my full ... [Read More]
Striving for Better Balance in Life {pHenOH 7.4 Sports Drink Review}
Disclaimer: The following post is sponsored by pHenOH through my ambassadorship with Fit Approach. As always, all opinions expressed are my own. If I had to describe what healthy living means to me in one word, I'd say balance. Balance is a tricky thing: You don't just have it and keep it, it's something that you need to constantly work at, and it isn't always easily found. I've found myself swinging too far over on one side on the coin, only to later find myself way over in the other direction. But the beauty is that every day is a chance to achieve better balance, in whatever way you need it. A couple of the main ways that I'm constantly trying to keep things aligned in my life include: Balancing exercising often while also giving my body a chance to rest. Maintaining a ... [Read More]
