How has your summer been going? Summertime has definitely looked different this year amidst the pandemic, but that hasn't stopped us from having fun family relaxation & local summer vacation time around the northeastern U.S. The NY/NJ/CT area largely took the pandemic seriously at the beginning since we were hit hardest first in the country, and everyone was on lockdown at home for several months. Fortunately, this has paid off with us being able to flatten the curve (fingers crossed it stays this way). As restrictions have lifted and case numbers have looked better, over the past month and a half, we've been comfortable enough to start seeing some family and go on a few road trips. Today I thought it'd be fun to commemorate our first summer as a family of three and share ... [Read More]

Highlights from Our First Vacation As a Family of 3 {San Diego, CA}
Anyone that knows me knows that traveling is a passion of mine. Exploring new places - whether a getaway that's a 2 hour drive away or a big trip that's a 15 hour plane ride away - always has a way of reinvigorating me and making me feel more alive. In becoming a mother, I've felt this strong sense to keep doing the things that I enjoy - many of the things that make me, me. With baby in tow, we started off going on weekend road trips to visit family soon after she was born. In fact, we took Camryn on her first little road trip to my parents' beach house when she was just a few weeks old. Our little lady has become a decent road tripper, so we felt it was time to go bigger... Cam's first plane ride! A few weeks ago, we went on our first family of 3 vacation to San Diego. My ... My 2020 Travel Plans & Aspirations
Happy New Year! Anyone else have some serious wanderlust going on? In 2019, having just made a cross-country move and both my husband and me changing careers, along with having bought a house, and the biggest factors, being pregnant and having a baby, we were pretty preoccupied with everyday life and didn't manage to get in a ton of travel. While our vacation to Turks & Caicos and road trip to Vermont were our travel highlights, typically we like to do a lot more exploring. So, here we are in the beginning of 2020, and I'm finding myself itching to change up my scenery, to experience new beautiful places. I've got a ton of airline miles to use, and I really want to start traveling with my daughter while she's young - got to take advantage of her two free lap seat ... [Read More]
My 7 On-The-Go Summer Gym Bag Essentials
Disclaimer: The following post is sponsored by adidas. As always, all opinions expressed are genuinely my own. Summer summer summertime! We're in the midst of that time of the year when the beaches are packed, the sun is hot, and the social plans are plentiful. It may be tempting to kick back and chill during all of your free time, but there are so many ways to take advantage of the season and stay active outdoors... I say take advantage of them! Today I'm sharing what's in my summer gym bag as I've been on-the-go locally and road tripping around the northeast to places like Massachusetts and Vermont. This week my husband and I are at the Jersey shore enjoying some downtime at my family's beach house. While we've taken a few trips during my pregnancy, this one seems to be the ... [Read More]
Highlights from My Recent Press Trip to Nantucket
A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to attend a press trip in Nantucket, Massachusetts that was hosted by the CerconeBrownCompany PR & marketing team. Over the last several years in June, I've attended the IDEA World Fitness Convention in Anaheim, and since I was missing it this year, the CBC Summer House trip sounded like the perfect alternative for me to get my pulse on newly released products in the health, food, and lifestyle worlds. For anyone who isn't familiar with Nantucket, it's a little summer destination island off Cape Cod, Mass. I had been wanting to visit there, and it definitely was the quintessential New England island that I was envisioning! Lots of cedar-shingled houses, beachy vibes, cobblestoned streets full of cute shops and restaurants, and preppy ... [Read More]
7 Things to Do On an Off-Season Getaway to Killington, Vermont
Weekend road trips are the kind of thing I live for. I love hopping in the car (with 25 snacks packed, of course) and driving away to a place I've never been to explore with my husband for a couple days. In being new to New England, one thing I've wanted to take advantage of here is the opportunity to explore new-to-me states. I grew up in New Jersey before spending my 20s on the west coast, but road trips weren't really a thing we did growing up. My parents have always been more about beach getaways and tropical locales, so I never went on family trips to places like Maine or New Hampshire. So! Over the long Memorial Day weekend, Adam and I ventured north to see Vermont for the first time ever. We opted to stay in the area of Killington. We know Vermont is known for its ski ... [Read More]
