In other words, I reward myself for getting through another month without having a complete emotional breakdown! When he's gone, I try to just take it day by day and not think too much of how much more we have to go. But, once we get to this point, I envision the deployment as a mountain we've been climbing up, and feel good in thinking that it's all a downhill slope from here. It probably had something to do with my day's happenings: after a night of tossing and turning, my super early wake-up call from my bank notifying me of fraudulent activity on my account once again (thanks, asshole!), concentrating a little too hard at my laptop screen and confusing the heck out of myself working on a project, and getting my taxes done this afternoon (woohoo, check that off my to-do list!).
