It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Who else just adores the holiday season?!
Now that my husband and I have a little one, we’ve been chatting about the holiday season traditions that we’d like to start with her. So far, we’ve decided on getting a new ornament every year that’s unique to that particular year – so perhaps an ornament from a place we traveled to, or a family photo ornament. This year will definitely be a baby’s first Christmas photo ornament!
I also plan to continue the tradition my family has of baking a ton of cookies every Christmas to enjoy and share with the people in our lives.
And we’ve also decided that once our little one gets older, we’d like to volunteer as a family every December.
Every holiday season, I like to share a gift guide full of great present ideas. I usually choose a theme for the guide, and this year, it seemed fitting to create a gift guide for the busy, healthy mama. After all, this describes my life in a nutshell right now!
I’ve featured some ideas that give the busy mama in your life a chance to treat herself to a bit of self-care. I’ve also included a bunch of ideas that could make for great stocking stuffers, as I love filling stockings with gifts and I find that my husband is always at a loss for stocking ideas for me. Let’s get to the gift ideas, shall we?
A new pair of trusty LBL (Little Black Leggings).
Every mom on-the-go needs at least one pair of black athleisure leggings! These adidas tights are great for workouts, running errands, taking the kids to their soccer games, and everything in between.
Bose audio sunglasses.
Talk about handsfree audio! These sunglasses have built-in Bose speakers for an immersive audio experience. Since my hands are hardly ever free these days to read because I have a baby to hold, I love using mine to listen to audiobooks while on walks with my dog and little one. I could also see these sunglasses being great for moms to listen to music, podcasts, or audiobooks in the car while their children listen to kid stuff on the radio.
HaloVa diaper bag.
Every new mom could use a functional diaper bag, and this is the one that I use myself. I love how it’s compact yet has room for everything I need, along with compartments to stick things like my cell phone and a pacifier. I can see myself still using this bag once my baby outgrows diapers and bottles!
Soothing face mask.
Who doesn’t want healthy, youthful looking skin? Busy moms may not always have the chance to head to the spa, but a soothing face mask gives them the chance to bring the spa to their home. Putting on a face mask always feel luxurious to me, even if it’s just a few moments of a break from my otherwise nonstop day. #treatyoself
A few of my favorites lately are Biossance Squalane Vitamin C Rose Mask and Frank Body’s Glow Mask. Both make my skin feel so smooth and soft!
Cosy cover-up.
During chilly months, I like to wear long-sleeve tops that are warm but cute and not too bulky.
This blue adidas cover-up is the perfect combo of warm and comfy but also suitable for being on-the-go. It features a little bit of a turtleneck to keep you warm, but also features Climalite to wick sweat and keep you dry in every condition.
Deep Blue muscle rub.
Between carrying a baby everywhere, working out, working on my computer, and living an overall very active lifestyle, I often find myself with tight shoulders and random spots of achiness. dōTERRA Essential Oils’ Deep Blue rub is a go-to of mine to provide relief! Think of it as Icy Hot, but with lots of natural ingredients like peppermint, ylang ylang and blue chamomile oils.
Baby Carrier.
For moms of babies under 3 years, a baby carrier really comes in handy when you’re on-the-go. I wear my baby on our daily walks, every time I take her to run errands, and even sometimes when I make dinner and she wants to be held close.
I have a few baby carriers, but my favorite one has been the Bable Baby Carrier Hip Seat. I find it a lot easier to strap this on and throw my babe in there instead of using the carriers that have a ton of fabric to deal with.
Ninja blender.
As a busy mom, so often I find myself hungry with not much time to throw together a meal – which is why smoothies are a go-to of mine for breakfast, lunch or a snack. And this Ninja blender is great for making smoothies! I especially love the single serving cups. This way I can throw all of my ingredients into the cup, pop on the blender top and blend it up, then flip it back over to drink right out of the cup. I’ve been using my Ninja blender often for a bunch of years now.
Kopari coconut melt.
Say hello to the perfect little stocking stuffer – 100% organic and unrefined coconut oil balm. Coconut oil is great for hydrating your whole bod in general, and I’ve been rubbing a bit of this coconut melt on my hands when they’re dry.
Takeya water bottle.
Every healthy mom needs to stay hydrated to feel her best, and my favorite water carrier for years now has been a Takeya insulated water bottle. It keeps my water ice cold all day long!
Herbal tea.
Another fun stocking stuffer idea is a box of herbal teas. My favorite brand in general is Yogi Tea, and the one I drink the most is their antioxidant-packed green tea. Another tea I’ve been drinking often that’s great for breastfeeding mamas is Earth Mama’s Milkmaid Tea – which features a blend of organic herbs to support healthy breast milk production.
Lux body wash.
Can you tell that I’m all about at-home pampering? Another stocking stuffer gift idea is to upgrade the body wash for the healthy mama in your life. I’ve been using bioClarity’s plant-based Sudsy body wash, which includes citrus and exfoliating jojoba beads, as well as Love Beauty and Planet body washes.
Tell me… What are you gifting the busy moms in your life for the holidays? Or if you’re a healthy mama yourself, what do you want on this list?

Those leggings look so comfy and how awesome do you look after having a baby?! I can’t wait to start fitting into literally ANY of the clothes I have in my closet again, lol. I’ve been wearing Brandon’s shirts for most of the 3rd trimester and even they are getting to be too small. So sad!

Thanks so much! I totally know what you mean.. it’s so strange to have a lot of your closet not fit during pregnancy. I got a bunch of clothes on a press trip while I was pregnant, and I recently wore a few of the pieces and thought, Wow these clothes are a lot looser fitting than I thought they’d be! Ha.

I love your gift idea roundups, Nicole! It always inspires me to find something different for Laura. 🙂 I hope you enjoy your first Christmas with the little one. It’s such a special time! (And if I remember correctly, we all took a long nap as a family on that first Christmas with Robbie. Haha!)

Thanks, David! A Christmas nap sounds like a wonderful idea!!
