With Thanksgiving upon us to start the holiday season and the chilly weather definitely having arrived in New England, I’ve been in the mood to whip up and enjoy lots of good food and drinks.
So today, I thought I’d share a round-up of recipes that are awesome to make this time of year (& are also on the healthier side!). Featuring seasonal ingredients, crowd-pleasing appetizers and dishes, and baked goods that’ll satisfy everyone’s sweet tooth, this round-up is full of yumminess!
Pumpkin chocolate chip oatmeal cookies. I’ve been a cookie monster lately, and I keep satisfying my cookie cravings with healthy recipes like this pumpkin & oat-filled one!
Mediterranean Hummus Dip. A healthy, flavorful appetizer to bring to a party.
Pear & pomegranate sangria. This seasonal adult beverage also includes fresh apple & orange!
Potato black bean soup. Warm up with this soup, which takes a twist on your typical black bean soup with the addition of potatoes, bell pepper and carrots. It also gets a flavor kick from Mexican-inspired ingredients like fresh lime, salsa, cilantro, paprika and red onion.
Herbed pomegranate goat cheese crostini. An easy appetizer using in-season pomegranate.
Cinnamon apple stuffed sweet potatoes. A 6-ingredient recipe perfect as a fall or winter side dish.

Peppermint matcha hot chocolate. This warm cup of deliciousness is a wintery drink that will pep you up with antioxidant-rich matcha powder! I’ve whipped up this hot cocoa several times lately.
Oat streusel stuffed baked apples. Also featuring a maple butter sauce, these apples make for a tasty, healthy dessert or brunch recipe.

Potato leek soup with zucchini and ditalini pasta. This soup has been one of my favorites this year.

I love the holidays! Appetizers for dinner plus a glass of wine is totally how we roll…while sitting next to the Christmas tree, of course! 🙂 I love all things gingerbread, so those gingerbread oatmeal bars are catching my attention right now. Yum!
