Who else has been soaking up the season and eating a ton of summertime fruit? Today's cherry berry cobbler is a healthier take on traditional fruit cobbler - sans butter and white flour, packed with fresh fruit and bursting with flavor. Instead, we use whole wheat flour, coconut oil, and a moderate amount of honey and cane sugar. I've been loving fresh cherries lately and I constantly am eating blueberries year-round, so it seemed like the perfect fruit pairing. I love that cobbler is perfectly acceptable any time of day for dessert, brunch, or a snack. Just take your pick! If making it for brunch, I like to pair it with yogurt or serve it all on its own. If making for dessert, I'm all about throwing a scoop of vanilla ice cream in there. Any way you slice it, this cherry berry cobbler ... [Read More]

Welcoming Camryn Elisse To the World
Big news over in my world! A few hours after my 32nd birthday came to a close, my little girl decided that she was done cooking in my oven and was ready to make her debut into the world. Meet Camryn Elisse, my 5 lb 9 oz angel face who arrived a week ago. For months, my instincts had told me that my baby would arrive before her due date, but her swift arrival at 36 weeks was the best surprise birthday gift imaginable. Baby and I are both doing very well, and it feels wildly surreal that I'm now a mom. I'm looking forward to sharing my empowering natural birthing story with you all soon! Manifesting Motherhood // My Aspirations for Year 32
This week I turn 32 years old, and I'm reflecting on what I want the next year of my life to look like. This birthday feels different than my other birthdays in that I'm on the cusp on a monumental life change: In a few short weeks, I will become a mother. I obviously don't know everything that having a baby will entail, but I've been doing a lot of manifesting with what I desire motherhood to be for me. The idea of having a kid scared me for pretty much all of my 20s. My husband and I were busy exploring the world, building our careers, moving a lot (4 times in my 20s, and then again last year - not to mention once more earlier this year) and enjoying our marriage just the two of us. It wasn't until I was around 30 that I started thinking long and hard about wanting a ... [Read More]
Summer Mediterranean Orzo Pasta Salad {vegan}
This light, summery pasta salad tosses orzo with lots of veggies and a light olive oil dressing! I've been sharing a lot of sweet recipes lately, so I figured it's time for a savory dish! Veggie-packed light pasta dishes that I can make ahead of time are a go-to of mine during the summer. They're healthy and flavorful, they're pretty easy to whip up, and they tend to be a crowd pleaser... I mean what's not to love? Today's recipe is made with one of my favorite types of pasta for summertime pasta salads: orzo. I find this itty bitty pasta shape to be perfect for tossing with summery veggies and a light dressing. And speaking of dressings, this recipe uses my simple go-to combo for pasta salads: extra virgin olive oil + fresh lemon juice & zest + something sweet - in this case, agave ... [Read More]
