A couple of weekends ago, my hubby and I headed down to the Jersey shore to spend the weekend with my parents. It was my mom's birthday, so I made my chocolate banana pudding pie to celebrate. The pie features an easy graham cracker crust, a homemade chocolate almond milk pudding, a layer of sliced banana, and this time, I included a peanut butter whipped topping. My mom declared it one of my best desserts ever, so I would say it was a birthday treat success! It got me to thinking about how I wanted to create a summery almond milk pudding recipe that's paired with fresh seasonal fruit. Then I thought, wouldn't a chocolate pudding be yummy with chocolate hazelnut butter swirled in?! And that my friends, is how we arrived at today's recipe. This dairy free recipe is ... [Read More]

Pregnant Life with Baby C: The Second Trimester
Well friends, here I am... in the midst of month 7 of pregnancy, and I almost can't believe it. On one hand, it seems like pregnancy is flying by, but on the other hand, I feel like I've been pregnant for a long time. Turns out this whole creating a tiny human thing is quite a process! Today I'm taking a look back at my second trimester and recapping the ups and downs of weeks 14-27. A lot happens in these weeks of pregnancy! It started off a bit rocky... I've heard that the second trimester is everyone's favorite. The most persistent first trimester symptoms tend to subside, you have a baby bump but aren't yet uncomfortably big, and most women's energy levels tend to rev back up. But for much of the first half of the second trimester, I wasn't feeling that awesome ... [Read More]
Easy Strawberry Mango Sorbet {vegan + gf}
This healthy dessert recipe is packed with summery fruit and takes 5 minutes to whip up! You guys, I'm definitely on a 5-ingredient recipe kick! My last recipe share was 5-ingredient Italian croutons, and a few weeks ago I shared a post on how-to make oat milk, which, while it takes a few more minutes of hands-on time than today's recipe, also involves just 5 ingredients. I've had a thing for sorbet for months now, and I've also had a thing for all fruit, but particularly mango, since the start of my pregnancy. This began when I found myself buying overpriced pre-sliced mango at Whole Foods Market on a day back in January in the midst of a crazy cold front when the high temperature for the day was 15 degrees. I kid you not! This recipe was born out of a desire to enjoy a fruity, healthy ... [Read More]
7 Things to Do On an Off-Season Getaway to Killington, Vermont
Weekend road trips are the kind of thing I live for. I love hopping in the car (with 25 snacks packed, of course) and driving away to a place I've never been to explore with my husband for a couple days. In being new to New England, one thing I've wanted to take advantage of here is the opportunity to explore new-to-me states. I grew up in New Jersey before spending my 20s on the west coast, but road trips weren't really a thing we did growing up. My parents have always been more about beach getaways and tropical locales, so I never went on family trips to places like Maine or New Hampshire. So! Over the long Memorial Day weekend, Adam and I ventured north to see Vermont for the first time ever. We opted to stay in the area of Killington. We know Vermont is known for its ski ... [Read More]
