Now that Thanksgiving has come and gone, we’re in full swing in the 2018 holiday season, and I’m definitely enjoying it!
It feels like I’ve been Christmas shopping for my loved ones nonstop the past couple of days, and when my hubby and I got home after a Thanksgiving weekend in Jersey full of family time, we nabbed a Christmas tree and decorated our place.
Christmas is by far my favorite holiday, and I love soaking it all up. We have plans to see John Legend on his Christmas tour in NYC next week, and I’m hoping to see the Rockefeller tree then too. I’d also like to go ice skating sometime soon.
For the last couple of years I’ve shared holiday gift guides with you, and this year I thought I’d do a bit of a different holiday gift guide. Today I’m sharing not just gift ideas for health & food lovers, but pretty much my own wish list. For additional ideas, you can check out my past gift guides at the below links. Let’s get to today’s gift ideas!

A new bike seat cover. Considering my bike seat cover has turned into lumps that I have to arrange on the seat together before I sit down, I think it’s time for a new one! If you have a cyclist loved one in your life, a new bike seat cover, other bike gear you know they’d like, or a gift card to a bike shop could be a nice idea.
All of the Fabletics workout gear, including new long leggings and jackets for layering now that I’m in the cold northeast wearing winter clothing every day. I may or may not already know that I’ll be receiving some Fabletics gear from my mom!
An olive oil dispenser. Sadly, during my recent move I had to throw out some of my stuff when our pod filled up. It’s been sad because I had to leave some things behind that are hard to replicate, like the wine barrel table I made myself, but it’s also been just annoying when it comes to practical items I tossed. Many of those things I’ve since rebought, but one thing I haven’t gotten to yet is an olive oil pourer. I like unique looking pourers like these UncommonGoods olive oil dispensers or this one.
This rowing machine from Dick’s Sporting Goods, which has already been purchased and will definitely be set up in my house soon! My husband actually decided that he wanted a rowing machine to get a quick workout in in the early weekday mornings, so my parents ordered him one for Christmas. But now I’m getting excited for a new piece of cardio equipment to exercise on myself! I used to row all the time and haven’t been going to a gym that has one, so I’m looking forward to getting back into it.
I think a rowing machine is a cool idea for the fitness fanatic in your life if you’re looking for a pricier gift idea – just as long as they have an at-home gym space.
An electric wine bottle opener – maybe one these top rated wine openers on Amazon per NYMag.com. I used to have one and it broke, so while I’m capable of continuing to muscle open wine bottles, I’d appreciate a new electric opener.
lululemon sports bras. While I like the brand, I’m not a lululemon addict by any means because I just think they’re too pricey to get all of my stuff there. However, one thing I am obsessed with at lululemon is their Energy bra. It’s pretty much all I wear to workout, and since I exercise almost every day, every Christmas I could use a new one of their sports bras.
Now that I’ve left my cute little outdoor garden in California, I would love to get an indoor herb garden to start growing my own favorite herbs inside. A couple little gardens that I like are this Bed Bath & Beyond AeroGarden and this herb garden via Harry & David.
A tea kettle. Fun little tidbit: I make tea pretty much every day, and I’ve never owned a tea kettle. I usually just boil water in a plain saucepan, but I could use a pretty tea kettle to use like this Kate Spade tea pot.
Tell me.. What’s on your holiday wish list?

I have thought about an indoor herb garden myself but was not sure how well they work. Let us know if you get it! Those olive oil dispensers are super cute

Totally, I like the idea of bringing more greenery into my home in general. I want to look into getting some hanging plants & maybe a palm tree as well!

That tea kettle is adorable! It’s so nice that you live close to NYC and are able to go see the city at Christmas and John Legend! That’s going to be a blast. I would love to visit the city mostly just to eat all the food!! 🙂

Yes, I’m looking forward to it! I anticipate that I won’t be able to get Christmas songs out of my head nonstop for a week afterwards 🙂

I totally need a new bike seat cover! Thanks for reminding me, now it’s going on my Christmas list.

Great idea!

I love these ideas! The rower is a really cool one – so much cheaper than those fancy bikes. LOL!
I’m a purist with the time opening, but I know many who aren’t (*cough cough* my mom). The auto ones ARE cool.

Oh but I totally would take a fancy bike too! 😉 But yes, I’m excited for a rower. I anticipate lots of back soreness in my future!! Ha.

I’m with you – Christmas is my FAVORITE and I’m really trying to soak it all up this year! I have one quick trip to Jersey this weekend for my sister’s bridal shower and other than that it’s all things holiday! haha ANYWAY – that tea kettle! I love it! I’ve been looking to replace mine and now you have me eyeing this one…

Wootwoot, enjoy your holiday season lady! There’s something so fun & magical about Christmastime.
David @ Spiced says
Now that’s a fun list for Santa this year! Laura gave me an herb garden last year for Christmas, and I absolutely love it! It’s so handy to always have fresh herbs on hand for cooking or garnishing dishes. I say make sure to put a nice plate of cookies out for Santa this year so you (hopefully) get everything on your list! 🙂

WILL DO!! So cool that you already have an indoor herb garden…like you said, it seems like a handy thing to have year round for foodies like us.
