This raspberry chocolate chip “nice” cream requires just a couple of ingredients, and the star players are frozen banana and raspberries. It’s a healthy way to satisfy your sweet tooth for dessert, or to enjoy for breakfast or a snack!
Lately I’ve been pretty obsessed with using my food processor to whip up refreshing fruity goodness – from post-workout protein smoothie bowls in the morning, to mango sorbet for a healthy dessert at night. My latest recipe for Shape is mocha chip banana “nice” cream…
…and today I’m sharing another frozen fruit creation: raspberry chocolate chip “nice” cream with fresh berries.
Using frozen banana and raspberries, this recipe only requires a couple of ingredients. It’s perfect for breakfast or a snack, and it’s also a great way to satisfy your sweet tooth for dessert!
Another awesome part about this dessert? It can be whipped up in 5 minutes flat. Just wash and slice your berries, place your raspberry banana ice cream ingredients in the food processor, and pulse until smooth, scraping down the sides once or twice.
I like to places the fresh berries in the bottom of a ramekin, mostly around the sides to create a well in the middle for my ice cream. Then when I spoon the ice cream into the ramekin on top, it softens into the berries and you get this combination of fresh berries, creamy raspberry & banana, and chocolate all at once. It’s delicious! This nice cream is also a dairy free alternative for ice cream lovers with lactose sensitivities, and provides you with a nice dose of fruit.
Who says homemade can’t be easy?!

Tell me… What’s your favorite fruit lately? Do you use your food processor on the daily too?

What a fun idea for a healthy dessert! It’s kinda like a smoothie…but in “ice cream” form. I can totally get behind that one! Plus, it uses fresh berries…and one of the best things about summer is all of the fresh berries. I gotta try this one soon! 🙂 (And that mocha chip flavor sounds incredible, btw!)

This looks delish! And it sounds like breakfast to me. (I’m starving, can you tell?)
We actually do have berries that need to be used. It’s might be a smoothie bowl morning!

Love that colour and both flavours sounds FABULOUS! Love that this is so guilt free so if I have a little extra, no worries 🙂 Are food processors the best? I use mine all the time!
