With 2015 drawing to a close, I love looking back at the year and thinking about all of my favorite travels and adventures, as well as my most memorable recipes and workouts of the year. I thought it’d be fun today to take a look back and highlight those memories. Let’s get to it!
My Favorite Adventures & Travel…
- August Adventures Back Home in Jersey (my birthday, hubby’s birthday, best friend’s wedding & more!)
- Ladies’ Night in NYC with my fellow foodie friend Danielle
My Favorite Recipes….
- Chocolate Thin Mint Protein Smoothie
- Zoodles with Basil Cherry Tomato Sauce, Pine Nuts & Lemon Zest (gluten free)
- 2-Minute Banana Berry Sorbet (vegan)
- Chickpea Sliders with Garlic Aioli (vegan)
- Cinnamon Almond Butter Date Truffles (vegan + GF)
- Red, White & Blue Pancakes (strawberry, coconut & blueberry – vegan & GF)
- My recently posted Double Chocolate Peppermint Brownies (vegan)
My Favorite Workouts….
- Yoga, yoga, yoga! I’ve practiced a lot of yoga this year. Some yoga related posts include my January, February, and July practice recaps.
In thinking about it, there were a lot less big life changes this year than there have been in my last couple of years. I settled into my new area and got to enjoy my house for the first full year. I took advantage of all of the wonderful things that Southern California has to offer as much as I could. I had a ton of fun, and am looking forward to what 2016 will bring!
I’m wishing you all a happy, healthy New Year!

Tell me, what’s a favorite trip, adventure, recipe or workout of your year?

I love that last picture! There is just so much to do here… it’s been a crazy 2016. Oh and Joshua Tree… I could spend a week there and not get board. It was unreal!
Happy New Year!

Looks like a great year Nicole! I think I have to make that Chocolate Thin Mint Protein Smoothie soon! I traveled to SF and Texas and had some fun food there but most are not posted yet. Hopefully sometime in early 2016! In San Diego, there were definitely some awesome foods for our Bracero Cocina visit!

Your post is making me hungry and wanting to try some new activities, haha! “More yoga” has been on my list for quite some time now and yet, I still don’t think i’ll be working on that resolution for a while…lol. There is just too many other workouts I’d rather do than become more flexible! LOL

Oh but yoga is so good for so many other things, I promise! It helps reduce stress, give you a better mindset, better balance (both physically and mentally), and can be an awesome workout if you find the right type of yoga for you. Hope that you give it more of a try in 2016!
