Happppy Friday!
Since I love to workout and almost always feel great post-exercise, that must mean that I’m always excited to get my workout on. Right? Well not quite. Just like virtually everyone else, I have my days when I’m just not in the mood for the exercise session I had planned.
This was the case yesterday, when I had finished work for the day, and it was time to fit in a workout before I had a Skype catch-up date with a girlfriend of mine who lives 1,000 miles away. I had been sitting at my desk working for awhile and was just sort of feeling tired, but I knew that there was no real good reason why I shouldn’t workout, so instead, I spent a few minutes getting myself motivated with some exercise quotes. Here are my top 10 motivational fitness quotes on this lovely Friday!

After reading these quotes, I got my butt out of my office and had a sweaty hour-long workout… and I certainly did not regret it!
Afterwards, I refueled with what I’m calling a Healthy Thin Mint Shake, in honor of Girl Scout cookie season:
It’s similar to this smoothie recipe, only with the addition of some chocolate mint Arctic Zero, which made it creamier and more shake-like. It was so yummy, I think I just might make it again today!

That chocolatey goodness looks so delicious and well deserved after an hour-long workout! I love when I ignore my laziness and end up having an amazing workout – it’s one of the most satisfying feelings!

Totally agreed! Even if the workout winds up just being mediocre, I always feel good in knowing that it was better than not working out at all.
