Hi there!
In the start of a new year there’s always this word floating around: resolutions. For many people, January is a symbolic fresh start and the ideal time to make positive changes in their lives.
While I think that January is as good a time as any to form better habits, and I definitely am excited in beginning this new year, I’m not a huge resolution person per se. Do I love goal setting in general? Absolutely. I guess I just find it sad that the majority of people give up on their New Year’s resolutions by the end of the month. I think it’s because a lot of people try to drastically change their lifestyle in one foul swoop, which isn’t always realistic.
So, I started thinking about all of this and ideas started popping into my head of things I’d like to do more in 2015 — not really resolutions, but more so reminders. Before I knew it I had created a list of 30 things that are almost universally applicable to everyone, so I wanted to share it with you all:
I’m considering these 30 things to be the manifesto of my year. My 2015 is off to a great start, and I’m looking forward to what I hope will be a fabulous year (but am more so living in the moment, per #12!).
Tell me… What would you add to the list? Which of these 30 things do you want to especially focus on in 2015?

I LOVE this list! I’m with you that I don’t really make resolutions but I do like setting goals and these are some amazing goals! I love how you put it together. It is so well thought out.

Thanks a lot, Britt! I think I’ll be referring back to it throughout the year 🙂

These are all great goals! Patience is something I really need to work on. And many other things on the list. 🙂
I honestly can’t think of anything I would add. You nailed it!

Ah yes, most of us could use more patience! Thank you doll.
Lisa @ Running Out Of Wine says
These are some great intentions for 2015! I especially like “go out on a limb when your heart tells you to”.

Thanks Lisa! I put that one on the list because I really like taking chances when my instinct tells me to… I try to fear less, and just go for it!!
Dannii @ Hungry Healthy Happy says
I absolutely love these, but I think the first one is my favourite. I heard a phrase once that people rarely listen, they are just waiting for their turn to talk and that made me really sad to think that is what is happening. I always make the effort to listen more.
Thanks for sharing, I am going to share this on twitter.

I totally snapped this on Instagram! I love it. I think the toughest thing to do is let go of the past and just practice mindfulness of the here and now and have excitement for the future. It’s tough but it’s so important to be happy!

Aww thanks Lauren! Letting go of the past is HUGE. If you can’t move forward, you’re just kind of stuck by things in the past and it weighs you down. I know that you’re into mindfulness too, so I’m sure you’ll be practicing it in 2015 as well!

This is an awesome list! I think I would add “travel somewhere new”. That’s one of my goals for 2015 🙂

Yes, that’s a great one! Traveling is pretty much on my list every year! 🙂
