Hi there!
First thing’s first – a few blog updates for you all. Just wanted to say that I’m aware that I’ve been having some subscriber issues lately. My apologies for anyone whose been receiving funky emails from me – either not getting post emails at all, or getting the same one multiple times. I’ve hopefully resolved the issue, but please bear with me! 😉 Also, I’ve updated my recipe page.
As I’ve talked about lately, my workouts have been a bit different recently due to a nagging calf injury I’m trying to rehab and let heal. I’m still trying to change up my exercise routine and keep things interesting, which has been a bit of a challenge since I’m not doing anything that puts too much pressure on my legs. Today I came up with a 3 exercise challenge that takes just a few minutes to complete. I hardly ever do timed exercises and thought it’d be interesting to try for a change of pace. Here’s how it works:
This turned out to be harder than I thought it’d be! My results may have been a little skewed because of my Marine being home & off of work for Veterans Day watching me, making me laugh while we bantered about what constitutes a ”real” push up. My numbers today were as follows: 65 push ups (which I completed in the first 90 seconds, but then seriously could not muster anymore of them!), 61 sit ups, and 3 minutes flat on the plank hold. Each day this week I’ll be repeating these exercises to see if I can continuously improve my reps and time. I welcome you to participate in the challenge, and feel free to share your stats with me!
Quote of the week:
