Did you know that today is National Peanut Butter Lover’s Day?
I am a huge peanut butter fan. My favorite ways to eat it are with apple or banana, in a good ole PB&J sandwich…and possibly straight out of the jar on occasion. Don’t even get me started on my love for peanut butter ice cream.
I obviously had to celebrate the occasion by eating some PB today. My favorite new kind is from a local company called Pacific Beach Peanut Butter. The owner has a stand at the farmer’s market and I don’t pass him without trying a sample 🙂
The jar I own at the moment is caramel flavored. To. die. for. He also makes cinnamon, white chocolate, and toffee flavored spreads, plus some other ones I can’t recall (kind of happy I don’t have his entire line memorized!).
I ate some for lunch on whole wheat toast with sliced banana, sprinkled with cinnamon. Holy deliciousness.
March is also National Nutrition Month. With that in mind, I hope that you make a commitment to choosing foods that provide you with the energy and fuel to live well. If you’ve been slacking in your efforts to live a healthy, nutritious lifestyle, March 1st is the day to start! After all..
There’s no better time than the present!
Some exciting news to share… in just one week I will be traveling to Thailand to meet up with my hubby!! Adam was able to leave his deployment and take a vacation, so we’ll be spending time there together. I am so looking forward to it because A.) this will be my first time in Asia, B.) Thailand seems SO cool, and C.) the obvious reason, I’ll be getting to see my husband! I plan on partaking in adventurous activities (I’ve booked an elephant safari trek already!), exploring around Thailand, eating authentic Thai food (I’m super excited for that part, duh), sipping some alcoholic beverages and relaxing in the sun, and just getting to see each other face to face. Needless to say, I’m PSYCHED. I’ve gotten recommendations from friends and have done some research, but if you’ve been there and have any suggestions, please do share!
